Foundation Repair Case Studies: Bowing Walls in Riverhead
Challenge
As a house in Riverhead was under renovation, we found that the foundation had bowing walls and horizontal cracks. Upon inspection the architect and we at Healthy Basement Systems determined that our Geo-Lock would be the perfect solution to permanently stabilize the failing foundation walls.
Solution
The Supportworks Geo-Lock Wall Anchor System offered a permanent solution that stabilized the walls without the costly need to replace the foundation. The reliability of the Geo-Lock system is found in the heavy-duty galvanized earth anchors that are imbedded in stable soil outside the foundation wall. Each anchor is connected by a steel rod to a wall plate that provides clamping pressure against the inside of the foundation wall. With the ability to stabilize walls that have a variety of problems, our Geo-Lock system proved to be the most versatile wall repair method as it was able to efficiently create a healthy foundation for the owners and its inhabitants.
