Healthy Basement Systems Case Studies: Water Seepage in Long Beach Basement is Fixed with WaterGuard

Challenge

This is an old cottage house in Long Beach on the south shore of Long Island that has a very high water table. It needed a pressure relief system that would relieve the pressure when the high tides and storms came.

Solution

We put in our french drain system called WaterGuard around the full perimeter of the basement which is recommended for every basement. We then connected to a SmartSump pumping system. This will catch all the seepage from the walls and joints and direct the water to the pumping system which will relieve the pressure when the tide comes up.
