Bill Simone’s Healthy Basement Systems received the 2017 New York Contractor of the Year Award from the National Association of Remodeling Industry at NARI’s Annual Awards dinner in St. James, Long Island on November 16.
The prestigious, highly coveted first-place Contractor of the Year Platinum Award was presented to Bill Simone, owner of Healthy Basement Systems, by NARI President Dan Vazquez. Healthy Basement Systems won in the “Basement Over $100,000” category for the design and construction of a 2,800 square foot basement installation, intended primarily as a play space for the family’s children, but which also includes a family room and private gym.
Winners were judged according to strict criteria including good traffic flow, lighting, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovative construction methods and use of materials, and creative solutions to obstacles in order to meet the expressed needs of the client. Quality of the NARI presentation is also judged.
Healthy Basement Systems is also entered in NARI’s National Contractor of the Year Competition, which will be judged in early 2018.
