Andrew was great in explaining what he felt is the only solution to my basement problem. The water issue is not o severe that I want a sump pump in my basement. I plan to monitor the water penetration for a bit longer before I commit. I may be contacting you next year if it worsens.

Andrew proposed a logical solutions but, as mentioned above, I prefer to evaluate conditinos until next Spring before I make a decision.

Flooding Crawl Space Repair in Mastic Beach, New York

A homeowner in Mastic Beach, New York had a crawl space that was constantly flooding whenever it would rain outside, this was making the homeowner worried about their crawl space environment, and gave us a call to come inspect it. After meeting with one of our specialists they recommended they encapsulate the crawl space if they wanted the space to be clean, dry, and usable. The way we encapsulate crawl spaces is by our crew coming in and installing a layer of drainage matting, which will prevent any water from entering the crawl space while allowing water to easily flow under the matting. On top of the drainage matting we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier system, which will prevent water or moisture from entering the crawl space while making it a clean, dry, bright, usable space. Since this crawl space was prone to flooding we installed our sump pump system in this crawl space, which will capture any water that flows under the drainage matting and discharges it out and away from the foundation of the home. To ensure this crawl space remains completely healthy we installed our dehumidifier in the crawl space, which will filter out any moisture, mold, or mildew particles from the crawl space, helping to improve the overall air quality in the crawl space. Now this homeowner has a crawl space that's clean, dry, and usable for many years to come.
