Hi Sean! I wanted to say again that we're really pleased with how everything turned out in our basement. You know we had those couple of days of heavy rains, and we didn't get any water in the basement - but that extra patching that Carlos did around our septic pipe in the foundation, we saw about a 4 inch diameter wet spot form in that new concrete but no water ever actually came through. Carlos suggested that we get someone to come out and look at our septic venting situation, since we shouldn't just have holes in the outside wall for that! So maybe we'll talk to whoever those folks are about why there might be water buildup under the line like that... but overall everything seems to be holding up! We're really looking forward to starting the process of finishing the basement next year. :D

Crawl Space Encapsulation & Insulation in Ridge, NY

This homeowner in Ridge, NY had a nasty dirt crawl space that was very humid creating a very unhealthy and unusable environment in this crawl space, so the homeowner gave us a call to come inspect their crawl space. Our team came out and turned this nasty dirt crawl space into a clean, dry, usable one by encapsulating the crawl space with our vapor barrier and insulation. The way we encapsulated this crawl space was by laying down a layer of drainage mattering on the dirt floor which will separate the earth from the crawl space while stopping and water from entering the crawl space, but still allowing any water to still be able to flow under the matting. On top of the drainage matting, we installed a layer of our vapor barrier which will prevent any water or moisture from entering the crawl space while making the space a clean, bright, usable one. To make this crawl space more energy efficient we installed our insulation on the walls of the crawl space which will help reflect heat back into the space, helping the homeowner save money on heating and cooling. For any water that might enter this crawl space, we installed our sump pump system in the crawl space so that as water flows under the drainage matting it enters our sump pump system which will then discharge the water back outside, leaving the crawl space completely clean and dry. The final item we installed in this crawl space, was our dehumidifier system which will filter out any moisture from the air and self discharges it outside making it so the homeowner never needs to worry about emptying a water bucket, along with also being able to filter out any small mold particles that might be in the air. Now this homeowner has a crawl space that's clean, dry, and usable for many years to come while also making their home more energy efficient.
