Wet and Musty to Dry and Usable Crawlspace in Bohemia, New York

This homeowner in Bohemia, New York reached out to us because they had a crawl space that would flood whenever it would rain a lot outside, which was causing their crawl space to become damp, unusable, and musty. This was becoming a frustrating issue as the homeowner was worried about mold growing in their crawl space and affecting their family's health, they also wanted to utilize the space for extra storage and decided to give us a call. After sending one of our specialists out to inspect their crawl space they determined that this crawl space would need to be encapsulated if they wanted their crawl space to be dry, usable, and healthy. The way we encapsulated this crawl space was by our crew coming in and installing a layer of drainage matting on the floor of the crawl space, this will separate the crawl space from the dirt floor while allowing any water to flow easily under the drainage matting. On top of the drainage matting we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier system, which will prevent any water or moisture from entering the space while making the space clean, dry, and usable. To ensure the crawl space doesn't flood with water we installed our sump pump system, which will capture and discharge any water that flows under the drainage matting out of the home and away from the foundation, preventing the crawl space from flooding. To ensure this crawl space remains completely healthy and dry we installed our SaniDry dehumidifier, which will remove any moisture, mold, or mildew from the air helping to improve the overall air quality in the space. Now this homeowner has a crawl space that will remain completely clean, dry, and usable for many years to come.
